Huawei Showcases its Leading WiMAX Solutions at India Telecom Event 2007

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, exhibited its mobile WiMAX end -to end solution at the recently held India Telecom Event 2007.

Huawei's WiMAX exhibition vehicle (live service demo) received around 300 visitors per day, and provided them with an opportunity to witness Huawei's leading mobile WiMAX products, specially brought down from China. Hon'ble Union Minister for Communications & IT, Mr A Raja, Union minister of State for Communications and IT, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, DG- TEC, CTO Airtel and senior executives from various corporate houses and System Integrators were amongst the dignitaries who visited the Huawei stall.

Huawei Telecommunications showcased its end-to-end mobile WiMAX products ranging from WiMAX BTS (Base Transceiver Station) family, ASN-GW (Access Service Node Gateway), IMS Platform, various terminals, unified network management system and abundant mobile broadband services.

According to Max Yang, CEO, Huawei Telecommunications India, "The future communication network is All IP-based FMC (Fixed-mobile Convergence) network and Huawei's aim is to enable users enjoy the seamless convergent experience anytime, anywhere, and via any terminal. Huawei mobile WiMAX solution will help in eliminating the digital divide & enable operators build a cost-effective mobile broadband network converging 2G/3G, NGN/IMS networks and create potential growth for its customers."

Huawei is one of the few manufacturers that provide an end-to-end Mobile WiMAX solution. Huawei's Mobile WiMAX solution adopts leading MIMO, OFDMA technologies, and shares a platform with future LTE/AIE, to ensure higher flux, farther coverage and reduce investment. The WiMAX distributed BTS is based on Huawei's UMTS/HSPA distributed BTS platform, which has been widely deployed by Vodafone, and is convenient for installation and network deployment. Based on Huawei's Mobile WiMAX end-to-end solution which converges 2G/3G, NGN/IMS networks and excellent programming ability in wireless & IP field, Huawei will construct universal mobile broadband network for customers.
